The Seven Final Plagues of God
(1) Then I saw another great and marvelous sign in heaven: seven angels holding the seven final plagues of God, because with them God’s just wrath was completed.
(2) Then I saw what looked like a sea of glass mixed with fire and standing on the sea of glass were those who were victorious over the beast from the sea and his statue and over the number of its name. They played harps given to them by God (3) and were singing the song of Moses—the servant of God—and the song of the Lamb: “Great and marvelous are your works, Lord God Almighty. Just and true are your ways, King over all the nations. (4) Who will not fear you, Lord, and glorify your name, for you alone are holy? Yes, all the earth’s nations will come and worship before you, for your righteous acts have been revealed.”
(5) After this I looked and saw the heavenly temple—the tabernacle of the covenant law—opened in heaven. (6) The seven angels holding the seven final plagues came out of the heavenly temple dressed in clean, shining linen. They wore gold bands around their chests.
(7) Then one of the four living creatures gave the seven angels seven gold bowls full of the just wrath of God, who lives for ever and ever! (8) The heavenly temple was filled with smoke from God’s glory and power, and no one was able to enter the temple until the seven final plagues of the seven angels were completed (fulfilled).
